Richard E. Ashcraft, 83, of Brookings, passed away July 15, 2011, in Gold Beach. Richard was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Salina, Kan., to Wilson and Verna (Speaker) Ashcraft. He lived in Kansas most of his life where he owned and operated his own sanitation company. Private interment was held on July 20, at W. J. Ward Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel. Submitted by Redwood Memorial Chapel.
