Percy A. Lowell, 93, Brookings, died Dec. 9, 2001, at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.
He was born March 23, 1908, in Palouse, Wash.
He married Mildred Louise Mohr in 1936.
He served with the Navy Sea Bees during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
He owned and operated Reed-Lowell Lumber Co. as a lumber broker in Eugene from 1960 until he retired in 1987.
Mr. Lowell lived in Portland from 1970 to 1988. He moved to Brookings in 1991.
He enjoyed flowers, gardening, picnicking and fires on the beach.
In 1997, he married Carmen Tomaneng.
Survivors include wife of Brookings; sons, Jon Lowell of Salem and David Lowell of Las Vegas; stepchildren Tina Rhoades of Crescent City; Edward Tomaneng of Austin, Texas; Edna T. deVries of The Netherlands. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chris Lowell of Albuquerque, N.M.; Eric Lowell of Lenexa, Kan.; and two stepgrandchildren, Peter Shanahan of Los Angeles; Tom Allen of Eugene.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Mildred Louise Mohr, in l987.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 31 W. Sixth St. Medford, OR 97501.
