Penny Kay Senchina-Fleek, 44, Brookings, died July 5, 2002 at her home in Brookings of natural causes. She was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Springfield, to Harley T. Redtfeldt and Imogene Broyles Redtfeldt. She grew up in Fall Creek and attended Lane Community College in Eugene. She was employed as a retail sales clerk for most of her working career. She moved to Brookings eight years ago, and worked both in retail sales and as a home care provider for Senior and Disabled Services and Cardinal Services. She loved caring for senior citizens, and assisting them to live independently in their own homes. She met George M. Fleek in Brookings and they were best friends and companions for the last seven years. They married June 29 of this year. She was a high-spirited person with lots of "spunk" and energy. She loved animals, doing crafts and spending time with her family. Becoming a grandmother recently was a highlight of her life. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Shantell Goodright, Eugene; grandson, Alexander Goodright, Eugene; step-daughter, Patricia Maureen "Reenie" Fleek, Brookings; sister Debby Desoe, Reno, Nev. Also surviving are four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to help with her final expenses may be sent to Karry Bonde, P.O. Box 1553, Brookings, OR 97415. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 15803 Highway 101 S., Harbor. Rev. Curt Fox will officiate. Cremation is under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel. |
