Nancy “Carrol” Fredericks, 74, of Brookings, died June 20, 2014, at her home.
Carrol was born August 14, 1939, in Eugene to Carl and Neva (Neal) Porter.
She grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School.
On October 1, 1982, Carrol married Darrell Fredericks in Philomath.
Carrol lived in Eugene, Philomath, Sixes and Brookings. She loved the ocean and the outdoors; she fished, read, quilted and played pinochle. She was a member of the Santa Clara Church of Christ.
Carrol is survived by her husband Darrell Fredericks; daughters Teresa Poland, Diane Trechter, Debra Ayres, Rhonda Penaloza, other daughters Carol and Kellie (Fredericks); son James Bogart; twin brother Darrel Porter; older sister Daisy Mayfield. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren with another due in January 2015.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Porter and mother Neva Cook.
Funeral services are to be announced at a later date. Remembrances may be made in Carrol’s name to the American Cancer Society.
