NC Montana Norma Schrottke
April 18,1938-May 30, 2014
NC Montana Norma Schrottke departed this earth on Friday May 30, 2014, when the Lord Jesus took her home.
Montana passed in Sutter Coast Hospital after a brave battle with medical complications her immune system could no longer endure.
Montana, the lady with that twinkle in her eyes and warm smile from a giant heart was an accomplished woman who excelled in her field of art. She studied at Queens University and became a writer, poet, sculptor, forensic artist, potter and teacher.
She was a student of the Bible and devoted many hours printing angel cards with words from scripture on her computer which she gave freely to anyone needing a boost in life.
Montana enjoyed traveling in a motor home, criss-crossing the U.S. with frequent stops at swap meets, flea markets, festivals, pow-wows and county fairs with Reno, her husband and soulmate.
When she entered your environment, her presence captured the air. She is and will be missed by all who knew her.
Montana was a loving mother of two, and is survived by Lee Reno, her husband of 56 years; daughter Christy Bouquet; granddaughters Summer and Charli; son-in-law Jason Bouquet; cousin Marion Rockensies of Smithtown, New York; sisters-in-law Annie Ball of Eastpoint, Florida, Louise McDowell of Seattle, Washington, Joan Slack of Wantagh, New York; and brother-in-law Gus Schrottke of Crossville, Tennessee; nieces and nephews from coast to coast.
The family thanks each and every one for your heartfelt condolences and to the kind medical staff at the hospital.
A special blessing to our neighbors who came to our aid in the hours of need. God Bless for true Americana spirit.
