Milton Mickey Mowat, 70, Brookings, died of cancer Aug. 31, 2001, at home in Brookings.
He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Los Angeles to Robert Mowat and Leitha Robinson Mowat.
He grew up in Hawaii and attended Punahou High School in Honolulu. He graduated from University of Oregon in 1951, and married his wife, Barbara, Sept. 2, 1951, in Glacier Park, Mont.
Mr. Mowat worked as manager of traffic regulatory affairs in Portland and retired in 1987. He moved to Brookings in March 1988.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Mowat, Brookings; daughters, Patricia Long, Vancouver, Wash., and Carol Kuhles, Prescott, Ariz.; son, Robert Mowat, Gaston; mother, Leitha Johnson, Redmond; and sister, Marjorie Guy, Redmond, along with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Mowat.
No services or memorials will be held at his request.
