Mary Linck Evans, 90, Brookings, died July 14, 2001, in Harbor following a short illness.

She was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Alhambra, Calif., to Louis and Mary Elizabeth Evans.

During World War II she enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Southern California.

She lived in Lake Elsinore, Calif., before moving to Brookings in 1986.

Mrs. Evans was a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses, having been baptized in 1954.

Survivors include her niece, Lynne Roemer and sister-in-law Mrs. Beryl Steel, both of Southern California.

Preceding her in death were both of her parents as well as a brother and sister.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 1222 Ransom Ave.
