Marsi Lynn Bansemer, 30, Grass Valley, Calif., died April 20, 2001, of breast cancer at University of California Davis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 13, 1970, in San Jose to Bruce Moncrief and Marilyn Ryals.

She married John Bansemer April 18, 1998, in Fair Oaks., Calif.

She worked as a make-up artist and enjoyed decorating, flower arrangements, creative writing, bicycling, swimming, walks along the coast and caring for her family. She loved to spend time with her animals Seymour, Pearl and Marvin Little.

Survivors are her husband of Grass Valley; her mother; brothers Chad Riggin and Darin Hayes, both of Grass Valley; grandmothers Rita Moncrief and Mary Jane Howard; grandfather Malcom Ryals of Brookings; aunts Gennie Fredrick; Judy Ryals; Pat Drost; Lori Butler; Elizabeth Aerola; Uncles John Ryals; Lynn Chapman; Ray Fredrick; Michael Drost.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to Golden Empire Humane Society/Animal Save. For information on donation, call the society at (530) 470-9400.
