Margaret M. Peg Hoffman

Margaret M. Peg Hoffman, 93, Ojai, Calif., died April 14, 2001, in Ojai of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Hanford, Calif.

She graduated from Oregon State Agricultural College in 1930 where she met her husband Chuck during her senior year.

She and her husband opened Hoffmans Gifts in Brookings in the early 1960s, selling his jewelry, gemstones, myrtlewood and Native American jewelry and art.

The couple moved their business to Bend in 1970 locating their specialty gift store in Bend Plaza for several years.

She enjoyed flowers, fresh crab and fast boats.

Survivors are her sister Klea Filson of Chico, Calif.; son Charles Hoffman Jr. of Redding, Calif.; daughters Barbara Hoffman of Oak View, Calif.; Linda Hoffman of Seattle.

A private memorial service will be at Deschutes Memorial Gardens. A gathering for all of her friends will be held April 21 at 3:00 p.m. at the family home in Bend on Loma Vista Drive.
