“Maggie” Washington 

Feb. 18, 1950-Dec. 2, 2013

Margaret Louise “Maggie” Washington passed away unexpectedly Dec. 2, 2013. 

Maggie was born in San Francisco on Feb. 18, 1950, to Louis and Hilda Holloway. 

She grew up in Santa Rosa and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1969. 

She had been a resident of Brookings for 25 years.

Maggie is survived by her daughter Kathy Washington; Elmo, her partner of 33 years; sisters Sandra Holloway, Julia “Birdie” Martens and Linda Reed; nieces Susan Reed and Susan Rowland; nephew Rodney Rowland. Also surviving are many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David Holloway.

She will be missed by all and her smile and spirit will live with us forever. Peace Maggie, we miss you.

A memorial open house will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Superfly Martini Bar, 623 Memory Lane in Brookings.
