Mabel F. Freshour, 83, Brookings, died Oct. 14, 2000.
She was born July 28, 1917, in Los Angeles to Fritz F. and Frieda (Feddersen) Schade.
She was raised and educated in Los Angeles.
She married Harley William Freshour Sept. 14, 1940, in Glendale, Calif.
They made their home in North Hollywood, Calif., for more than 16 years before moving to Los Altos, Calif., Orland, Calif., and then to Brookings.
She enjoyed oil painting and ceramics.
Survivors include son Harley Lee Freshour, Brookings; daughter Jeanene Freshour-Craft, Salinas, Calif.; sister Louise Davis, Hawthorn, Calif., grandchildren Kelley Conner, Taylor Craft and Beau Freshour; great-grandchild Kasey Scott Conner and Kaley Monet Craft.
Preceding her in death were her parents Fritz and Frieda Schade; husband Harley William Freshour; great-grandson Cody.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scantlins Brookings Mortuary Chapel.
