Louis Widmeyer, 65, Brookings, died June 24, 2002, at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City of cancer. He was born Oct. 16, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in Cincinnati, and married Pat Widmeyer Oct. 13, 1987, in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Widmeyer worked as a meat cutter. He moved to Brookings in 1997. He is known to many in Brookings as Mr. Texaco where he worked part time for four years. Survivors include wife of Brookings; son, Kevin Widmeyer of Cincinnati; stepsons, Dan Roshon of Portland and David Roshon of Cincinnati; stepdaughters, Gayle Meyer of Talent and Diane Johnson of Cincinnati; and grandsons Michael Hon of San Diego and Samuel Meyer of Talent. Also surviving are five additional grandchildren. There will be no funeral service. Remembrances may be made to The Lou Widmeyer Fund, P.O.
