Lois went to be with the Lord at her home in Amity, with her family at her side, after being diagnosed with cancer.
During her time here on earth, she enjoyed working in her huge yard of flowers and gardens, her church- going and being with her friends and family. She was a member of the Brookings Emblem Club 265 for more than 50 years, and a member of the Amity Church of Christ. Her memory will continue through creation.
Lois is survived by her three children: Holly Center of Collierville, Tenn., William “Bill” Goodin of Forest Grove, and Janine Ramos of Crescent City; sister Mary Kirby of Yuba City, Calif. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by Bernell Lee Goodin in 2001, her husband of 50 years.
Lois was born in Doty, Wash., and grew up in Seaside. She moved with her family to Smith River in 1952; and relocated to Brookings in 1955. In 1975, she and her husband moved to Reedsport, and then to Toledo, Yamhill, and Cornelius, finally settling in Amity.
A funeral service was held April 5 in McMinnville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice, 2275 N.E. McDaniel Lane, McMinnville, OR 97128. Private online condolences may be left at www.macyandson.com.
