Lloyd Mosier, 83, of Harbor, died Dec. 6, 2000, at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.

Mr. Mosier was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Seattle to parents Henry E. and Anne (Curtis) Mosier.

He was raised and educated in Olympia, Wash. After graduating from high school he was employed with Capitol Sign Co. in Olympia. In 1940, he began working for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, where he was employed for 15 years.

He married Lorraine Daniels Oct. 5, 1955, in Seattle. The couple relocated to Brookings in 1959.

Mr. Mosier retired from Brookings Plywood in 1980 after working there for 21 years. His hobbies included boat building, lapidary and he enjoyed dancing.

Survivors are his wife of Harbor; brother George and his wife Viola Mosier, Centralia, Wash.; sister Janice and her husband Miles Stickler, Sequim, Wash.; 11 nieces and nephews; 36 grand nieces and nephews; and 16 great grand nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mosier was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, David.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Ward Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Jim Lamb will conduct the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 689, Medford, OR 97501.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scantlins Brookings Mortuary Chapel.
