Leota Gladys Conner, 83, Harbor, died Oct. 1, 2000.
She was born June 6, 1917, in Talent to Edward and Myrtle (Patterson) Jacobs. She was educated in Talent and worked as a nanny when she was a teenager.
She married Wiloby Conner on Feb. 1, 1936, in Medford. They moved to the Klamath Basin that same year and, from 1959 until retiring in 1976, Mrs. Conner worked in the Merrill clothing store.
They moved to Harbor in 1989 to be near their daughter, Pamela Milts.
She enjoyed walking on the beach and the ocean view. She also liked fishing with her husband, cooking, baking apple and cherry pies, especially for her granddaughter at Thanksgiving Day holidays, crocheting shawls, doing needlepoint and, in her 50s, belonging to a pinochle club.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Mills; granddaughter and her husband, Nicole and Adam Horton; grandson, James Gillaspie; sister, Pauline Atlen; sisters-in-law, Lillian Hanscam and Alma Dye.
Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; brothers, Leo, Harold, William and Leslie Jacobs; and sister, Mary Withrow.
Memorial services were held Oct. 4. Interment will be at Eternal Hilts Memorial Gardens.
