Kirb Whatley

Kirb Whatley, 76, Myrtle Creek, died Oct. 25, 2000.

Mr. Whatley was a former Brookings resident.

He will be remembered as the skipper of the charter boat Barbara Kay. He was a member of the Elks and a long time member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed traveling in his R.V. after his retirement.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years Lea Whatley, his three daughters and their husbands.

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His ashes will be scattered at sea in Brookings.
