Kathryn Susanne Walters, 63, Brookings, died Oct. 28, 2001, at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born May 29, 1938, in Fort Bragg, Calif.
She married Robert Walters July 28, 1956, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Walters was a city librarian in Tenakee Springs, Ala. She was the mayor of Tenakee Springs, served on the city council and the planning commission.
She moved to Brookings eight years ago. She enjoyed drawing, painting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Suzanne Jones of Spokane, Wash.; Amy Paradis of Brookings; and Carol Haddaller of Jefferson; son, Robert Walters of Tenakee Springs, Ala.; brother, Waino Kujala of Fort Bragg; sisters, Alice Ramirez of Pittsburg, Calif.; and Evelyn Ritchey of Sweet Home.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and six brothers and sisters.
A private family service is planned. Arrangements are by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.
