Karen Ingersoll Kelley, 56, Gold Beach, died Dec. 17, 2001, in Gold Beach.
She was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Clatskanie to Norrie and Disa (Starner) Ingersoll.
Mrs. Kelley was a a member of New Life Center Assembly of God in Gold Beach. She volunteered to help where she could and frequently made cookies for the childrens church.
Her church family was important to her, family members said. She was a day care provider, a friend to the homeless, loved the beach, baking,d enjoyed working with ceramics and crocheting.
She is survived by daughter, Doris Gentry of McMinnville; brothers, Rodney Ingersoll and his wife, Patty, of Gold Beach; and Norman Ingersoll and his wife, Judy, of Arcata, Calif.; and two grandsons, Zachary and Harley Gentry of Glendale.
She also had family and friends in Brookings.
Preceding her in death are her parents, a brother, George Ingersoll, and a sister, Doris Norris.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at New Life Assembly of God, 94245 Sixth St., Gold Beach.
Private burial will be at Rogue River Cemetery, Gold Beach.

Arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel, Brookings.
