Nov. 2, 1957-Sept. 12, 2013
Former Brookings resident Judith “Kay” Thompson passed away Sept. 12, 2013, at the age of 55 after a valiant battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Kay was born Nov. 2, 1957, in Lansing, Mich.
She lived in Brookings from 1980 to 1984 with her husband Jeff Thompson. She died peacefully at their home in Prineville.
Kay loved RV traveling every summer and taking trips to the Hawaiian Islands. She was a fabulous decorator and made our home so warm and comfortable.
Over the years she had worked for Tazo Tea Company in Portland, City of Prineville and most recently for Rosendin Electric on the new Facebook Data Center.
She is survived by Jeff, her husband of 33 years; and their daughter Hillary; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially Jeff and Hillary who adored everything about her.
Please send donations in Kay’s memory to ALS Association, Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter, 700 N.E. Multnomah St., Suite 870, Portland, OR 97232.
