Joyce Marie Betties

Feb. 15, 1941-Aug. 22, 2014

Joyce Marie Betties died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, in her beloved Brookings, as the result of a traffic accident.

She was born in Texas on Feb. 15, 1941.

Joyce is survived by her children Terri Lynn, James Henry and Merri Ann; her sister Erlene; and her nieces Linda and Brenda.

Brenda wants Joyce to know that she is the best, best auntie in the whole world. “I love you a bushel and a peck, hug around the neck, a bucket full and more to go with it.”

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the bandshell at Azalea Park, followed at 4:30 by a potluck at the Chetco Activity Center on Chetco Lane in Brookings.

My husband and I would like to take this moment to thank everybody in the community for all the love and kindness you have shown our mom in the eight years that she lived in Brookings. It will never be forgotten.

Have a Happy Time.

God bless you.
