John Raymond Buseman Jr., 63, Brookings, died March 29, 2001, of heart failure.
He was born Jan. 17, 1938, to John Raymond Buseman Sr., and Katherine Buseman, and raised in Philadelphia, Pa.,
He worked in sales for more than 40 years for several companies in New Hampshire including Patsys Inc. and Sanels in Concord and Winnepeasauke Truck in Laconia. He also worked in sales in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Upon retiring from the East Coast Heavy Duty Truck Parts Industry on Oct. 1, he and his companion Maureen moved to Brookings from Concord, N.H.
He was an active member of M.A.G.S. serving through different chairs on the board. In Brookings he had recently joined the Oregon South Coast Fishermen Inc.
He enjoyed sports including hockey, car racing, softball, golf, basketball and since retiring, fishing and crabbing off the coast and Port of Brookings Harbor.
Mr. Buseman also enjoyed the beaches, watching and talking to fishermen as they unloaded their catches at the dock.
Survivors are his mother of Philadelphia; companion Maureen Rex of Brookings; sons David Fancher of Concord, N.H.; John Buseman of Philadelphia; daughters Sheryl Whitham of Lewiston, Maine; Barbara Buseman, Deborah Dooley and Elizabeth Buseman, all of Philadelphia.
Also surviving are six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Some of his ashes will be taken out to sea by his family and friends to scattered off the coast of Brookings.
His remaining ashes will be sent to Concord, N.H. to the care of other family and friends, to be scattered on the coastal waters there.

Arrangments are under the direction of Nelsons Bay Area Mortuary in Coos Bay.
