She was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Portland, and grew up in St. Helens.
Janice married young to Earl Fisher, her husband of 20 years. They had two children, Toni and Terry. The family moved to Sandy where she was a Sunday school teacher, Brownie troop leader, as well as being a co-owner of Mt. Hood Welding Company.
After she divorced, Janice moved to Gresham. She spent several years traveling around the world with her family and friends.
In 1993, Janice met Phillip Haberman, whom she married in 1996, in Portland. Together they retired and moved to Harbor, where she continued her love for travel, cooking and entertaining.
She is survived by her husband Phillip; daughter and son-in-law Toni and Chuck Russell of Sandy; son and daughter-in-law Terry and Marie Fisher of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandson Jeremy Russell of Portland.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Brookings Elks Lodge 1934, 800 Elk Drive. Reception to follow.
