Janet A. Birchall, 63, of Bardenton, Fla., died April 16, 2013, in Bardenton.
She was born Feb. 27, 1950, in Antioch, Calif.
After graduating from high school, she attended beauty school, married, and had a daughter.
She chose to live the early part of her life in the secluded Northern California mountains.
Later in life she started a career as a correctional officer in Central California and retired as a correctional lieutenant at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City. She believed in her job and was proud of what she achieved during her career.
After retiring she moved to Bradenton, to enjoy the sunshine. In retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She loved life and cherished every moment she had with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Charles Birchall, her daughter and son-in-law Annessa and Allen Culbreth, her mother Birdie Mae Hart, her sisters Sarah Hart and Linda Carter.
