James Isaac Worledge
June 18, 1929-April 23, 2014
Former Gold Beach resident James Isaac Worledge, 84, of Grants Pass, passed away April 23, 2014, his family at his side, at Emeritus Senior Living in Grants Pass.
He was born June 18, 1929, on the family dairy farm in Auburn, Washington, to James Thomas and Sarah Mae Worledge.
James worked most of his career in the timber industry. He retired in 1978, as a heavy duty mechanic, from Ketchikan Pulp Co., in Thorne Bay Alaska.
His many interests included woodworking, making many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home and children. Hiking in the hills above his home in Gold Beach, fishing in Alaska and gardening were also favorite pastimes.
He is survived by his wife Audrey; his children from his first marriage James Thomas (Diana) Worledge, Patti (David) Erickson, Vicki (Mark) Heizler, Linda (Steve) Seley, Deborah (Bob) Reich, Lisa (David) Wheeler; stepdaughters Bonnie (Fred) Bass and Diane Young. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Aimee; stepson David Johnson; grandsons Hap and Rex Seley.
A private graveside service is planned.
