James Homer Pollard, 93, Brookings, died April 22, 2001, at Curry Good Samaritan Center of natural causes.
He was born May 31, 1908, in Pratt, Kan., to Mr. and Mrs. Pollard.
He grew up in Modesto, Calif. ,and attended school in Tracy, Calif.
He worked as a master plumber at Rodoni-Becker, retiring in 1973.
Mr. Pollard moved to Brookings in November 1991 from Whittier, Calif.
He was a member of the Brookings-Harbor Bridge Club and the Candlewood Golf Club in Whittier. He was also a 65-year member of Plumbers Union Local 38 in San Francisco.
Survivors are nieces Carol Leek of Harbor; Pat Long of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Barbara Willis of Escalon, Calif.; great-nieces Stefani Hooper, Caroline Brisbin and Katelyn Brisbin, all of Harbor; grand-nieces Deborah Nye of Portland; Susan Caldwell of Brookings, Cheryl Brisbin of Gold Beach; grand-nephew Douglas Leek of Harbor City, Calif.; Steven Leek of Shoreline, Wash.
Preceding him in death were his wives Kate in 1970 and Delores in 1990.
Remembrances may be made to a favorite charity.
