James Elroy Rumble, 67, Harbor, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City.
He was born May 29, 1934, in Tacoma, Wash.
He married Dorothy Jean Long April 13, 2000, in Brookings.
Mr. Rumble lived in Mount Shasta, Calif., from 1951 to 1957, Rogue Valley 1967-1987, and Harbor and Smith River for the past 10 years.
He was a member, deacon and soundman at the Seventh-day Adventist church in Medford, Mount Shasta and Brookings.
He was a member of the Mount Shasta Lions Club, and enjoyed flying, fishing and motorcycles. Most of all, he was a man loved by many, who will be missed.
He was a logger and truck driver for many years.
Survivors include his wife of Harbor; sons, Cary Rumble of Medford and Jamey Rumble of Crescent City; daughter, Rene Barnwell of Santa Maria, Calif.; stepdaughters, Lois Long of Brookings; and Doris Morgan of Billings, Mont.; stepson, Harley Long of Medford; mother, Ella F. Rumble of Medford; sister, Wanda Florea of Grants Pass. Also surviving are two stepgrandchildren, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother.
Memorial services were Friday, March 8, at Memory Gardens Mortuary Chapel in Medford. Pastor Jim Bollin of Brookings Seventh-day Adventist Church and Pastor Dan McCulloch of Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church officiated. Entombment was at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford.
