Former Brookings resident Jim Griffin, 61, of Albany, died Feb. 16, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 11, 1950, in Boston to James and Anne Griffin.
Jim grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
He lived in Brookings from 1975 until he moved to Albany in 1990.
Survivors include his wife Karen Griffin of Albany; sons Tony and wife Christina, Jimmy and wife Piper, Jeff, and Kevin all of Brookings; daughters Aubrie Schliecher of Albany, and Sheila Hedenskog and her husband Scott of Brookings; sisters Barbra McKenna of San Fransisco, Jackie Correia and Marianne Griffin of Eugene and Laura Erb and her husband Darrell of Grants Pass. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
