James A. Robinett

James A. Robinett, 57, Brookings, died April 25, 2001, in Brookings.

He was born Dec. 31, 1943, in New York, N.Y.

He married Georgie Robinett in 1980.

He had a masters degree in computer science and worked for many years as a software engineer, retiring in 1999.

Mr. Robinett owned a gardening business that sold West Coast native bulbs. He and his wife were recognized around the world as experts on West Coast native bulbs, his family said.

Survivors are his wife of Brookings; mother Alice Robinett of Boulder, Colo.; sister Beatrice Enright of Boulder; cousin and cousin-in-law Patricia and Bob Bennett of Fairfax Station, Va.; stepson Tom March of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Also surviving are numerous family members.

No memorial service is planned. His ashes will be interred during a private service.
