Imogene Jean Kelly, 77, Brookings, died April 6, 2002, in Crescent City following a sudden illness.
She was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Gerald and Winifred Henderson Perdue.
After graduating from high school in Iowa, she moved to the Bay Area. She married George Kelly in 1949. They were later divorced.
Mrs. Kelly liked walking the beach in all kinds of weather. She was an avid writer of short stories and long letters.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Jose Delacuadra of Fairfield, Calif.; son, Michael Kelly; daughter, Sherry Kelly; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in her name to the South Coast Humane Society, 620 Hemlock St., Brookings.
Arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
