Gloria Dean “Go-Go” Grimsley, 61 years old, of Brookings, passed away May 28, 2014, in Crescent City.
Gloria was born on Aug. 1, 1952, in Riverside, California, to Guy and Ila Grimsley.
She moved to Brookings 35 years ago and never looked back.
Gloria worked at many jobs, as waitress, bartender, bouncer at Sporthaven, but her true love was as a fisherwoman on the back deck of the Sea Breeze fishing vessel for more than 25 years. Her most recent job was with Hallmark Fisheries as their dock manager, here in Brookings.
Gloria is survived by partner Dean Seavey; children Michael Bowman of Coos Bay, Donald Wamsley of Eugene; Jeremy (Hockey) Wamsley of Brookings; daughter and son-in-law Phil and Angel Purington of Springfield, and Dustin Wamsley of Brookings; grandchildren Philip Garland, Kaylee Wamsley, Christina Wamsley, Shane Grimsley, Derreck Purington. She is also survived by her siblings Tom and Kelly of Brookings; brother and sister-in-law Doug and Gail Grimsley of Riverside, California.
