Georgia Opal Jones, 82, Brookings, died Dec. 27, 2001, at her home in Brookings.
She was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She married Vern E. Jones and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mrs. Jones lived in the Burley-Rupert, Idaho area before moving to Oregon in 1990.
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, William and Roberta Jones of Centerville, Utah; Timothy and Judy Jones of Nibley, Utah; David and Alicia Jones of Magna, Utah; daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Gerald Wright of Brookings; son, Kenneth Jones of Burbank, Calif.; daughter, Patricia Cooper of Brookings; sister, Jane Darby of Salt Lake City; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Henry Bonadiman of Rupert, Idaho.
Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, April 15, 1971; her parents; two brothers; one sister; one grandson and one great-grandson.
A memorial service is planned for today (Jan. 2) at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 1020 Fifield St.
Arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
