Forest Woodrow Lyons

Forest Woodrow Lyons, 53, died of natural causes Sunday Sept. 22, 2002, at his home in Fairfield, Calif.

He was born April 13, 1949, in Grants Pass.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Local #3 Operating Engineers.

Mr. Lyons had worked for John Wheeler Loggins for several years prior to operating his own company, Forest Lyons Logging, for 15 years.

He lived in Red Bluff for 10 years before moving to Fairfield a year ago.

Mr. Lyons enjoyed woodworking, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his mother, Stella Lyons, Brookings; daughter, Christine Benner of Red Bluff, Calif.; son Kenneth Lyons of Michigan; sister Marsha Geraghty, Brookings; grandchildren, Audrey Benner and Jacob Benner of Red Bluff, Calif.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday Sept. 27, 2002, at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers, 816 Walnut St., Red Bluff, Calif. 96080.
