Evelyn Nash Lingard, 82, Brookings, died Dec. 21, 2000.
She was born March 8, 1918, in Blytheville, Ark.,to James and Lillian (Shearer) Nash.
She was raised and educated in Arkansas.
She married Vern M. Lingard Sept. 7, 1947, in Yuma, Ariz. They moved to San Diego where she was a homemaker and her husband served in the U.S. Navy.
Mrs. Nash Lingard was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Brookings. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing together.
Survivors are her sons Charles Lingard, Brookings; Steven N. Lingard, Carter Lake, Iowa; James A. Pia, California; daughter Susan Lingard Heim, Petershausen, Germany.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and son Vern M. Lingard Jr. who died in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Performing Arts Center, P.O. Box 2712, Harbor, OR 97415.
At her request, no formal services will be held.
Interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scantlins Brookings Mortuary Chapel.
