Evelyn Carlin, 63, Brookings, died July 14, 2002, of cancer in her home. She was born Sept.16, 1938, in Jerome, Idaho, to John and LaMaughn Boyle. She grew up and went to school in Elk Grove, Calif. She married Darold Carlin in Fort Bragg, Calif., on May 24, 1962. She moved to Brookings in 1991 from Sacramento. Mrs. Carlin worked as a federal government employee until 1973 and attended Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Darlene Messerli of Brookings, and Elizabeth Sims of Sacramento; and brother, Jackie Le of Reno, Nev. She is also survived by four grandchildren. Services will be July 19, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Litty Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Litty Funeral Directors. |
