Eva Floreine Voelz, 88, Brookings, died April 7, 2002, in Brookings.

She was born May 21, 1913, in Wellington, Kan.

She worked for Bell Telephone Co. until the 1950s. Then she and her husband, Mihlo, managed the Warner Hotel in Alturas, Calif., until 1970. She retired and moved to Brookings in 1978. She enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband.

Survivors include daughters, Leta Pelzel of Brookings; Margaret Semmens of Mount Shasta, Calif. Also surviving are grandson, Frank Stone of Napa, Calif.; granddaughter, Debbie Catania and three great-granddaughters, all of Napa.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Mihlo in 1986; brothers, Al and Dean Hull.

Remembrances may be made to Alzheimers Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1100, Chicago, IL 60611.
