Doris Williamson, 81, of Brookings died Sept. 8, 2002, at a private home.
She was born March 14, 192l, to James Addison and Lois (Daniel) Williamson in Plainview, Texas. She spent her years growing up in Plainview, and in the Los Angeles area.
Following high school she attended a secretarial college and held several clerical positions in California.
She is remembered as having a great sense of humor, and enjoyed painting, gardening, reading, listening to music. attending church, and traveling. Her last great joy, as quoted by her caregiver, was seeing the beauties of "God's world" on a recent house boat trip at Shasta Lake, Calif.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law James D. and Gladys Williams of Lakewood, Calif.; niece, Elaine Winningham of Westminster, Calif.; nephew, Craig Williamson of Denver.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel in Brookings.
