Deborah Watterson

 

Deborah Watterson, of Brookings, passed away in Crescent City on Dec. 7, 2011.  She was 55.

Deborah was born Aug. 23, 1956, in North Hollywood, Calif.  She spent most of her life in California until moving to Brookings in 1989.  

Deborah married Johnie Watterson III on April 17, 1993, in Brookings. 

She enjoyed needlepoint, reading and collecting antiques and jewelry.

Deborah is survived by her daughter Jessi of Brookings; parents Robert and Dorothy Bentley of Alturas, Calif.; stepchildren Johnie Watterson IV and his wife, Kelly, of Brookings, Caryn Mello and her husband, Paul, of Visalia, Calif., Thomas Watterson and his wife, Debbie, of Templeton, Calif.; sisters, Audrey Kyber of Dallas, Ga., Billie Clark of Medford, Caroline Georgiani of Brookings, and Kelly Bernadini of Brookings; father-in-law Johnie Watterson II of Brookings.  

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Saxon Vollor and Leslie Kenton.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at W. J. Ward Memorial Cemetery, 1035 Seventh St. in Brookings. Pastor Johnie Watterson IV will officiate. Inurnment will follow there.
