David T. DeWitz, 63, Cave Junction, died Oct. 13, 2000.
He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He graduated from Ohio University with a degree in architectural engineering. He and his wife, Fran, moved from Cleveland to Cave Junction in 1984.
Mr. DeWitz designed numerous homes and public buildings including the Illinois Valley Visitors Center, Illinois Valley Senior Center and the Bridgeview Community Church.
His work also included building designs in Roseburg, Grants Pass and Brookings.
He served on the Cave Junction Planning Board, the Grants Pass Planning Board and the Illinois Valley Medical Board.
Survivors are his wife Fran DeWitz, Cave Junction; son Jim DeWitz, Cave Junction; sister Donna Good, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy DeWitz.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Illinois Valley Senior Center, 520 E. River St., Cave Junction.
