David Allen George

David Allen George, 43, died May 11, 2002, at his home in Gold Hill.

He was born March 16, 1959, in Gold Beach to Anne and Laurence George Jr.

He was raised in Brookings and attended Kalmiopsis Elementary School and Brookings-Harbor High School through 1979.

He was employed at Coos -Curry Electric Cooperative.

He moved to the Gold Hill area and has lived there for more than 20 years. He was employed by Artoff Construction for many years working as a lineman. He was currently employed by Action Auto Recycling as a process supervisor.

He married Candy Ford on June 17, 2000, in Rivers Edge Park near Shady Cove.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include wife of Gold Hill, sons Aaron Fox of Medford; Robert George of Butte Falls; step-mother Kathleen George; sisters and brother-in-law, Connie Tigert, Christine and Scott Sanders, nieces Kimburly Tigert, nephews, Brandon, Steven, Isaac and Matthew Sanders, all of Brookings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandfather, Laurence George Sr.

The family requests remembrances be made to Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary, P.O. Box 358, Williams, OR 97544. Mr. George had recently visited the sanctuary and had enjoyed it.

A private service was held by the family.

Cremation under the direction of Central Valley Cremation and Funeral Care of Central Point.
