Darwin F. Damewood, 92, Turner, died Dec. 28, 2000, of cancer.
He was born Aug. 20, 1908, in Dayton.
He graduated from Crow High School and Northwest Christian College in Eugene.
He married Pearl L. Love Aug. 20, 1946, in Eugene.
Mr. Damewood worked in the logging and wood products industry before retiring in 1973. They lived in Eugene, Brookings and Florence before moving to Turner in 1998.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a Bible student all his life, and a member of the Turner Christian Church. He and his wife were members of the Turner Retirement Home community.
Survivors include wife of Turner; daughter Eleanor Hughes, Costa Rica; Donna Rae Durkee, Seattle; sister Alice Trump, Eugene.
Also surviving are three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorial services are planned for Jan. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Turner Christian Church. Interment will be at Twin Oak Cemetery in Turner.
