July 20, 1951-March 10, 2014
Danny Wedding, of Brookings, passed away March 10, 2014, in Grants Pass.
He was born July 20, 1951, in Los Angeles.
He grew up on the Winchuck River, and attended Brookings-Harbor schools, graduating from Brookings-Harbor High School, class of 1969.
He then joined the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam.
He married Tharon Cate while on leave.
After Vietnam he earned an associate degree at Butte College.
When he married his second wife Twila Rae Johnson, he became an instant father to Tracy and Twila Dawn. They had a son, David Bradley Wedding.
His third wife was Marilyn Melli. She had two sons, Mark and Nabil.
Though he had many jobs throughout his life, he worked mainly as a residential contractor.
Danny was an avid rock collector, an excellent harmonica player, biker, hiker and naturalist.
Survivors include: David and Ashley Wedding and daughter Avery; Tracy Johnson, Twila Dawn and three children. He is survived by his sister Colleen Buchanan; nieces and nephews and families are: Jason Wedding, Jenna, Mikey Brown, Stewart Buchanan and Nessa Jones. Danny is also survived by Aunt Eileen and cousins in California.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents David Fred and Edythe Wedding; siblings Darlene Brown and Michael Fred Wedding.
No service is planned.
