Daniel Jack Watrous, 91, of Grants Pass passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. He was born on May 24, 1920, in Tracy, Calif., to Daniel and Lila Watrous. He spent his career serving in the United States Navy where he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of 32 years of the Elks Club in Brookings. In 2010 he moved to Grants Pass from Brookings. He enjoyed watching sports, music, square dancing and working with his hands. Survivors include four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death in September by his wife of 30 years Christine Margaret Watrous. Private interment will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, Calif. For online condolences and tributes please visit stephensfc.com.
