Corky W. Williamson, 55, Crescent City, died Jan. 6, 2002, in Crescent City.

He was born Oct. 15, 1946, in San Diego, Calif.

He lived in Del Norte County for 12 years, and was a lieutenant at Pelican Bay State Prison in the Internal Investigation Unit.

He was president of the California Corrections Supervisors Organization and past member of CCPOA. Mr. Williamson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Crescent City.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of Crescent City; daughters, Candi Williamson, Melanie William-son, Holly Williamson; and grandson, Shawn Williamson, all of Crescent City.

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Barbara William-son of Happy Camp, Calif.; nieces, Lenore William-son, Chane Williamson and Sheona Lloyd.

Contributions may be made in Mr. Williamsons memory to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlington, CA 94010.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crescent City. Visitation will start at noon and continue until service time Saturday, Jan. 12, at the church. Fellowship immediately following services at the church.

Private inurnment will be at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Crescent City.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wiers Mortuary Chapel.
