Clifford Arthur Rutter, 87, Brookings, died June 7, 2001, at home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1913, in Cove, to William and Ethel (Greenough) Rutter.
He served in the Navy See-Bees during World War II. In 1947, he joined his father and five brothers in Roseburg and Grants Pass in working for CopCo, now Pacific Power and Light.
Mr. Rutter became a line foreman in the transmission department and then retired to Brookings after 35 years.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors are his wife, Avagene Genie Rutter; daughters, Sharon Dykeman of Vancouver, Wash.; Rebecca Ferguson of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; sister, Joan Knutson of Glide.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A private interment will be held in Grants Pass at the Hawthorne Memorial.
