Claude Allyn Blagden, 70, Smith River, died Nov. 5, 2000.
He was born March 1, 1930, at Knapp Hospital in Crescent City.
Mr. Blagden was a U.S. Army Veteran. He served in the Korean War.
He worked in the timber industry and was foreman for 10 years of the Lucky L Ranch.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Last summer, he fulfilled a lifetime dream by going to Alaska on a fishing trip with friends.
Survivors are his wife Connie Blagden, Smith River; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Marlys Blagden, Bayview, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law Jeanne and Norm Nelson, Harbor; sister Joyce Matlock and brother Hugh Blagden, both of Brookings; grandchildren Kyle and Kelsie Blagden, Erin and Amber Nelson, Jessica and Amanda Blagden; great-grandchildren Cameron, Daniel and Kylie Hess, Keizer.
Preceding him in death was son Danny Blagden and brothers Welton and Dale Blagden.
