Carlene Verla Reed, 68, Crescent City, died June 3, 2000. She was born March 24, 1932, in Grants Pass. She was a resident of Del Norte County for 21 years. Mrs. Reed was a member of Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, Republican Womens Club, Crescent City Womens Club, Jed Smith Mountain Men and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors are husband Glenn Reed, Crescent City; son Forrest Reed, Alameda, Calif.; daughter Rosellen Davis, Highland Falls, New York; sisters Marilyn Jackson, Austin, Texas; Mary Wiggley, Foots Creek; grandchildren Glenda Reed, Alameda, Calif.; Evan Davis, Highland Falls, N.Y. The family requests contribution be made to Sutter Coast Hospice, 983 Third St., Crescent City, CA 95531. Memorial services are scheduled for June 8 at 11 a.m. at Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Brookings. Private inurnment will take place at Del Norte County Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wiers Mortuary Chapel. |
