Bryan Daniel Redding, 32, of Modesto, Calif., passed away quietly in his sleep Feb. 11, 2013, of complications of diabetes.
He was born on Tax Day — April 15, 1980, in Modesto, to Daniel Carl Redding and Karen Sue Redding.
Bryan loved to cook, loved music and he loved his family. He moved to Brookings in 1996, and attended Brookings-Harbor High School.
After high school, he was employed at the Flying Gull Restaurant as a dishwasher. He soon expanded his restaurant experience to become a great breakfast cook. Bryan loved to work and he was loved by his co-workers and family.
In 2006, he moved to Seattle, to be closer to his sister Jessica Storm and his brothers Phillip Rose and Jared Rose.
After awhile, he began cooking at Calamity Jane’s Restaurant, in Seattle, where he again made close friends. He then returned home to Modesto to be with his father.
Bryan is survived by his father Danny; mother Karen; stepfather Doug; sister Jessica; brothers Phillip, Jared, and Douglas. Also surviving are cousins Rhonda Sweeden, Donnie Black, Jimmy Black; grandparents Gene and Shirley Nimocks, and many aunts uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Carl Redding and grandmother Flossie Redding.
A Celebration of Life will be on Feb. 23, in Escalon, Calif.
