Bonnie Kay Dawson

Bonnie Kay Dawson, 65, Auburn, Calif., died April 13, 2001, at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn.

She was born Jan. 23, 1936, in Hollywood, Calif., to longtime Brookings residents Albert and Virginia Mincer.

She married Hugh Logan Dawson Jr., Aug. 20, 1954, in Brookings.

Mrs. Dawson enjoyed designing and making quilts, reading, church work and gardening.

Survivors are her mother, Virginia F. Pennington Mincer of Vacaville, Calif.; aunt and uncle Arline M. Pennington Birch and Charles Birch of Fairfield, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Cari C. (Dawson) and Robert Bartley of Auburn, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Dana L. and Julie Blake Dawson of Bear, Del.; daughter and son-in-law Lyn H. (Dawson) and David Bloomfield of Atascadero, Calif.; granddaughters Paige C. Bartley, Bonnie B. Dawson, Pepper C. Bloomfield and Holly O. Bloomfield.

Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death was her husband.

At her request, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 4088, Auburn, CA 95604.
