Beth Joy ‘Pat’ Stewart

Beth “Pat” Stewart, 79, of Brookings passed away Aug. 11, 2011 at her home.  

Pat, as family and friends knew her, was born March 17, 1932, in The Dalles, to Lewis and Effie (Davison) Lane. 

She married Bruce Stewart Nov. 11, 1959, in Reno, Nev. They made their home in Brookings where Pat worked for US Bank for 16 years before opening her own business – Words and Pictures Bookstore and Art Gallery. 

Pat enjoyed gardening, books and art.

Survivors include Bruce “Buzz” Stewart, her husband of 52 years, of Brookings; son James Judd M.D. and his wife Margaret Kolata of Bend; daughter Susan Beem and her husband Rick of Brookings; grandchildren Katie and Eric Beem; great-granddaughter Abigail Conduracki. 

Pat was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Pelican Bay Arts Association, for Manley Art Center, P.O. Box 2568, Harbor, OR 97415.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
