Bernice Reddish

Bernice Reddish, 91, passed away July 16, 2011,    at her home in Brookings.

Bernice was born Aug. 20, 1919, in Everett, Wash., to George and Elija Walters.  She attended schools in Everett. 

During World War II, she worked as an air mechanic at the North Island Naval Air Station in Coronado, Calif.  She later moved to Los Angeles where she was employed at Broadway Department Store. 

After returning to San Diego’s Hillcrest District in the 1950s, Bernice moved to San Francisco where she met Chris Reddish. The two married Aug. 5, 1969, in Zephyr Cove, Calif. 

Bernice is survived by her husband Chris of Brookings; granddaughter Barbara and her husband Lee, and great grandchildren Coral and Dillon, all of California.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Maxine.

At Bernice’s request, no ceremony will be held.
